Most cyclists will have experienced the dreaded bonk while riding, be it because you forget to eat, or go out for longer than you thought, the feeling of being absolutely empty is universal. So why would you want to go and do that on purpose? Conor decides that he’s willing to do it in the name of GCN science, to find out what happens to your blood glucose levels if you go on a hilly 140km ride with Hank through the Brecon Beacons, without eating. As if that’s not gruelling enough, Hank and Conor compare power data for a series of 5 minute intervals over the course of the ride!
